The Presidential Center of the DPA RK hosted the opening of a new children's exhibition "Amazing World of Animals" aimed at popularizing the republican action "Taza Kazakhstan" and the development of environmental education among the younger generation of Kazakhstanis.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has continually pointed out the critical need to build an ecological culture in society. During a meeting with young scientists in Almaty, the President stated, "It is crucial to foster an ecological culture in society and promote values such as respect for the environment…" These words resonate more than ever today, as care for nature is not just a duty but a manifestation of respect for the past, present, and future.
This exhibition is not merely a collection of displays, but an educational space dedicated to environmental awareness. The exhibits and interactive elements help children understand the critical role of nature in human life. This aligns with the goals of the "Taza Kazakhstan" campaign to promote ecological culture.
The exhibition, divided into two sections—"Traditions of the Kazakh People" and "The World of Animals"—features around 100 exhibits.
"Today’s exhibition reveals the significance of animals in mythology, daily life, and hunting practices, highlighting their role in preserving biodiversity and ecosystems. It addresses contemporary ecological policies of Kazakhstan, including initiatives to restore populations of rare species, such as the Turan tiger, snow leopard, tazi and tobet dogs. Our exposition invites you not only to deepen your knowledge, but also to think about the importance of a responsible attitude to the world around you," said Botagoz Kaipova, Deputy Director of the Presidential Center of Kazakhstan.
The event saw the participation of approximately 70 kindergarten children from the capital, who had the opportunity to explore the rich diversity of the animal world, its role in nature, and its significance in Kazakh culture. The young guests engaged in interactive games through which they learned interesting facts about animals and immersed themselves in the traditional worldview of the Kazakh people.
Thus, the "Amazing World of Animals" exhibition will not only serve as a venue for gaining new knowledge but also as a platform for cultivating ecological responsibility, in line with Kazakhstan's national priorities in ecology and sustainable development.
