The Presidential Center of the DPA of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a round table dedicated to the discussion of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K.Tokayev "Fair Kazakhstan: law and order, economic growth, public optimism" dated September 2, 2024.

The event's goal is to do an expert analysis of the primary provisions of this year's major political document in the context of the nation's ongoing sociopolitical and economic development issues. 

The round table was attended by deputies of the Mazhilisof the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, experts, representatives of the scientific community, development institutions and civil society, academic staff, and students of the capital's universities. More than 80 people were present in total.

In his welcoming speech, the Director of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan BakytzhanTemirbolat noted that the main directions of the presidential strategy are the modernization of the economy, improving the quality of life of citizens, and ensuring their rights and security. It is in this vein that the tasks set by the President of the country should be considered to eliminate the imbalance between monetary and fiscal policy, improve the tax system, improve the efficiency of National Fund management and optimize inter-budgetary relations, improve the investment climate and business conditions, fully unleash industrial potential, digitalize the economy, modernize the utility sector and road construction, develop SMEs.

‘To address the issues of improving the quality of life of citizens and the development of human capital will be aimed at measures to improve the health of the nation, reboot the system of social support, as well as the full establishment of the ideology of law and order in society,’ B. Temirbolat continued.

In turn, Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Azhar Sagandykova touched upon the issues of popularizing working specialities among young people, the adoption of legislative acts in the field of advanced training and increasing wages for specialists in working professions, and the development of a package of bills designed to comprehensively solve environmental problems in the country.

In his speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan Dastan Dyushekeev emphasized that close allied relations have been established between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, characterized by multifaceted interaction across the entire spectrum of bilateral ties and cooperation in the Central Asian region as a whole. According to D. Dyushekeev, the initiatives announced in the Address of the President of Kazakhstan are similar to the ongoing foreign and domestic policy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to Almas Kanatov, Executive Director of the Institute of Parliamentarism, the key ideas of the main political document of this year are the tasks of modernizing the national economy, improving the quality of life of every citizen of Kazakhstan, and ensuring their rights. This year's Presidential Address clearly shows a consistent strategic line to further expand and deepen the mechanisms of the new economic model, declared by the Head of State in his 2023 Address.

"Addressing the people of Kazakhstan, President K.K.Tokayev outlined a number of strategic initiatives aimed at further socio-economic development of the country, eliminating imbalances between credit and tax policies, improving conditions for business processes, solving priority infrastructure problems, consistently increasing the country's human resources, implementing comprehensive measures to strengthen the national health system and social protection of citizens, improvement of the environmental situation and cultivation of respect for the environment, improving the efficiency of public administration, Establishing an ideology of law and order in society," said Nurbek Pusyrmanov, Director of the Institute of State History.

During the event, reports were also heard from DinaraSadvakasova, Chairperson of the NGO "United Children's and Youth Organization "Zhas Ulan", Arman Yeshmuratov, head of the Department of Scientific and Theoretical Analysis and Methodological Support of the Institute of Eurasian Integration, and Marian Abisheva, a leading researcher at the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan.  

An electronic compendium of materials will be prepared on the basis of the round table discussion, which is then planned to be transmitted to the competent government bodies for further work.
